Bu ku raleigh restaurant

The lemon cheesecake was excellent. We ordered Sushi and the restaurant was out of low sodium soy sauce. There is Harris Teeter literally across the street where this product could have been purchased even if it were not the house recipe.

Come on really no low sodium soy sauce. Very disappointed. Took my family from out of town here. I had eaten at the one in Raleigh a couple of times before and have always been impressed. Unfortunately this experience in Wake Forest was not great. We were put in the back room and it was almost 80 degrees inside. Cocktails were good. Entrees were really not good at all. There were 9 of us and I can confidently say 5 out of 9 entrees I would not recommend. The duck was not cocked long enough on the skin side so the fat was inedible.

Duck cooked properly should be able to be eaten. The noodles in the yakisoba were so overly dressed and sweet. Unfortunately our server only checked on us once, 15 minutes after the food was delivered.

It was too late to make any adjustments to our order. Would not go back. Always love BuKu, one of my favorites! Drinks and food are fun, creative and good! Melissa was an excellent server. We had such a lovely meal - the steamed Chinese pork buns were amazing! Melt in your mouth delicious! We also got the philly and the dynamite rolls. Wow, I forgot how incredible the sushi was at BuKu!

We had a party of 25, and they took excellent care of us! So impressed with the food and service! This was our second time visiting BuKu in Wake Forest. The food was very good but the service was poor. We got there early and decided to sit at the bar and eat, which we do often.

The problem came when our plates were never cleared. We had three small plates, a bowl to discard our muscles shells two cocktails, two waters, and two small servicing plates. All in front of us at the bar. BTW we were the only people at the bar. We finished our meal and ordered desert and coffee. Desert came but no coffee. Coffee came but no cream and sugar. When we finished desert and paid the bill, all the plates were still in front of us.

It felt like we were eating in the kitchen in the dirty dish area. We really enjoyed the food but not sure we will return because of the poor service.

We had an excellent meal, and a celebratory birthday dinner before get new piercings at Lewter Tattoos in Louisburg. Our evening was awesome. Thank you. The waitress, or server, was exceptional. Wonderful service and atmosphere! Overall, excellent food and service. Great value for your money. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to others. Great ambiance and good food Could have a greater selection of food at buffet. Great breakfast buffet. Healthy options and options for one to indulge in.

The brunch provides a good selection of items, from sweet to savory, and something in between. Permanently Closed - BuKu Wake Forest offers takeout which you can order by calling the restaurant at Skip to Main Content. Sign up Sign in. Full List of Metros. The scallops and jade prawns are super good and for meat lovers - the sake-braised short ribs. The hot pot is a must - it is both large and also very delicious.

The beet and goat cheese salad and the grilled Octopus Salad are also very yummy. The desserts are great - save room. The Tiramisu comes in a tall glass with fresh espresso poured over the top - great presentation.

The Rue Eden rum, pineapple juice, basil and soda and the Horchata Kahlua based goodie are highly recommended. We highly recommend bu. It's best to make reservations - particularly on the weekend as it gets packed. I will post a picture, I have never ever seen a piece of chicken look like this. Server never came back Garland - 14 W Martin St, Raleigh. Raleigh, North Carolina. More Info Health Score: 96 out of The service, the wine, the food were all a 10!

Went for a pre-theater birthday dinner. Party of 7 easily accommodated. The service was outstanding! Aware of our timeframe and working with a late arrival, our waitress, made everything run so smoothly. Thank you. Service was bad, kitchen was slow, had to send multiple things back, eventually we had a decent meal. Took us two hours to eat. We only went here because we went to So'ca and that was so bad they gave us a gift certificate to Bu'ku. Everyone involved in both need to get it together.

A great place to take her. Unfortunately it seems the restaurant has gone down hill since we were last there. We ordered 6 small plates sushi roll, vegetable dumplings, pork gyoza, shrimp larb, beet hummus and pear salad. The other small plates were good but everything was extremely heavy on the salt so we were left feeling underwhelmed. Lastly, and most disappointing, they charged us for my best friends birthday cake!!

I have never had a restaurant charge you for the birthday dessert! The atmosphere was great though. My BFF and I went to buku at its Raleigh location this week 'one last time' for our traditional hotpot with iced tea note: it's better with rice than with rice noodles.

Food was interesting and good. I had a "large bowl" and I thought the broth could have hotter. We sat in a booth which I found a bit uncomfortable as the seats were to low for the table. Tandoori chicken was incredible. Tiramisu was awesome. All very flavorful, well prepared and presented. The food is awesome! We sat next to the water wall. Delicious and affordable brunch with free parking! Staff is consistently pleasant and accommodating. The absolute bbbbeeessssstttt brunch spot in Raleigh.
